The Birth of a Motorsport Icon

In the mid-1970s, BMW set out to redefine what a touring car could be. The result was the 3.0 CSL, a purpose-built machine crafted to conquer the European Touring Car Championship. The "Batmobile" nickname, inspired by its radical aerodynamic design, became synonymous with speed, innovation, and domination on the track.
